How it works
Shared kernel
Native Zones share the global zone kernel while providing isolated administrative and filesystem views.
Configuration
Use zonecfg to define resources, network and storage; use zoneadm for lifecycle.
Delegation
Grant only the rights needed by zone administrators.
Worked examples
Each example explains the question it answers, a reproducible starting point, what to look for, and operational precautions.
1. List zones
Use this as a starting point for list zones.
zoneadm list -cvInterpretation: Check command output against the expected host configuration; record the before/after state.
Operational note: Run commands in a test environment first; confirm device names, privileges and release-specific options.
2. Inspect config
Use this as a starting point for inspect config.
zonecfg -z appzone infoInterpretation: Check command output against the expected host configuration; record the before/after state.
Operational note: Run commands in a test environment first; confirm device names, privileges and release-specific options.
3. Install a zone
